Bio: The Northwood School of Taxidermy was established in October 1990 by Joel Zimmerman. Joel is a graduate of the American Institute of Taxidermy in Janesville, Wisconsin. He is the former founding instructor of the Pennsylvania Institute of Taxidermy in Ebensburg, Pennsylvania. He instructed there for five years. He then built The Northwood School of Taxidermy in Stoystown, Pennsylvania. Joel is a Master Taxidermist who has been invited to judge state competitions and teach seminars. He has won numerous awards at both state and national competitions. His work has appeared in taxidermy Today Magazine, one of the most prestigious taxidermy magazines. Joel is a well respected authority on taxidermy worldwide.
